NicheLocal will work alongside JMD Buckles, maker of custom belt buckles, to shift their retail business online. The Atlanta website design team of NicheLocal will convert the company’s present website to a Magento platform, which is a high-end ecommerce content management system (CMS).
Through extensive research and development, the JMD Buckles co-founders, Steve Vance and Jeff McLaurin, developed an unparalleled line of belt buckles that were originally hand-crafted for entertainers and athletes. Several years ago, NicheLocal helped Atlanta-based JMD design and develop a website that enabled them to expand their reach and attract fans and admirers alike.
While the website design will remain unchanged, NicheLocal will reconstruct the website’s backend functionality to streamline JMD’s internal operations and enable the company to accept and process online orders. By integrating ecommerce capabilities, www.jmdbuckles.com will continue to showcase its hand-crafted designs, but the site will also serve as the primary revenue generator for the company.
NicheLocal created the belt and accessory maker’s current website several years ago, but as JMD Buckles grew, their team needed to be able to frequently update and edit their website content with newly-created products. In an effort to manage this process alone, JMD Buckles invested time and money investigating CMS solutions, but were left with lost time and added frustration.
